Dortmund star Youssoufa Moukoko is all set to join Mason Greenwood at Marseille after the Ligue 1 club saw their offer for Eddie Nketiah rejected.

Per Fabrizio Romano, 19-year-old forward Moukoko has agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 club amid interest from five other teams from around Europe. Marseille are currently negotiating terms with Dortmund over an initial loan deal with a compulsory buy option clause.

After an underwhelming performance in the 2023-24 campaign where they finished eighth in the French league, Marseille have made an effort to rebuild their squad for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The process started with appointing former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi as their new manager. Soon after the Italian came on board, they signed Manchester United outcast Mason Greenwood and are now on the verge of sealing a transfer for the German teenager.

Fabrizio Romano had earlier reported that the Ligue 1 club had placed an offer worth €27m (£23m/$29m) for out-of-favour Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah. However, the Gunners have rejected the initial bid as they considered the offer to be much less than their asking price, which is thought to be €35m (£30m/$38m), plus the inclusion of a sell-on clause.
